A qualified candidate would have 3-5 years experience in accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Business and be responsible for company grain accounting functions and prepares various reports and statistics reflecting grain inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transaction.
  2. Responsible for the preparation of various grain accounting related reports, ensuring that they are accurate and created in a timely fashion.
  3. Value-grain-inventory and reconcile cost of goods sold. Develop and maintain freight rates, standard factors, and burden rates for inventory valuation.
  4. Responsible for the maintenance and administration of the barley tracking accounting system.
  5. Maintain toll inventory accounting system and prepare related report indicating inventory balances.
  6. Perform journal entries and account reconciliations.
  7. Review general ledger accounts as assigned by the Controller.
  8. Report financial information to senior management.
  9. Audit remote grain elevators.
  10. Prepare payments and approve invoices as assigned by the Controller.

Marginal Duties:

  1. Assist in the preparation of required tax returns and annual budget.
  2. Supervise year-end physical inventory.

Experience using SAP is preferred but will consider experience using another ERP system.

Il veille au bon déroulement des expérimentations réalisées sur les différentes variétés d’orge, afin de permettre au responsable développement variétal de retenir les variétés permettant de satisfaire l'ensemble des acteurs de la filière.
