The Maintenance Manager is in charge of the maintenance and the security of all equipment, infrastructures, and buildings for a facility where the production process is continuous and thus where the time allotted for maintenance is short.

The Varietal Development Manager is a demanding field worker, testing varieties of barley – our raw material – through growing experiments and analyzing them according to qualitative and agronomic criteria.

In our malting plants, which operate continuously 365 days a year and 24 hours a day, production line workers take part in automated outsteeping (malt discharging) and product transfer operations.
The Malting Operations Manager has a hand in determining malt production objectives, along with costs, delivery times, quality, and quantity. This implies a close collaboration with all Malteurop’s departments, with the brewer customers, and with the barley suppliers.
Working together with grain growers is a natural approach for Malteurop. Firstly because growers are at the very origin of Malteurop and because they are part of the Group’s shareholding structure via their cooperatives.
Malteurop conducts a research and development policy aimed at introducing innovations into the barley-malt-beer value chain. It concerns primarily control over raw materials – barley and malt – and improving industrial processes at malting plants.
